"My Last Supper" |
|
Please join us for an evening with Melanie Dunea who will share with us her stories on how she created her most recent book "My Last Supper". Melanie Dunea lives in New York, but travels the world on assignment photographing influential and powerful people. Her work appears regularly in Vanity Fair, Newsweek, Entertainment Weekly, Town & Country, Gourmet, People, New York and InStyle. She has received an American Photography Award and a Society of Publication Design Annual Award, and will serve as an ambassador to India for Operation Smile. Her most recent book "My Last Supper" is based upon a game chefs have been playing among themselves for decades, if not centuries, but it had always been kept within the profession until now. Melanie Dunea came up with the ingenious idea to ask fifty of the world's famous chefs to let her in on this insider's game and tell her what their final meals would be. Each chef featured in the book gave answers to the same five questions. These are `What would be your last meal on earth?', `What would be the setting for the meals?', `What would you drink with your meal?', `Who would be your dining companions?' and `Who would prepare the meals?'. My Last Supper showcases their fascinating answers alongside stunning Vanity Fair-style portraits |
